Interrupted: Anna Lusk (guest poet)
Will you give in, or hold fast? We're exploring what it means to be BRAVE in our daily living at The Phoenix Soul. I'm honored to welcome fellow phoenix Anna Lusk as a guest poet today. Let's see bravery through her eyes. -Amanda
Interrupted
by Anna Lusk
A corroded gasket
pinches against
the flow--seething
in fury
a mind-melting
scream
and in
self-inflicted
silence
I close my
eyes
drawing the
blinds
against a
siren-colored
day that
will not
yield to the
politeness
of the moon.
I am a
twisted nail
under the hammering
of this sledge
with the option
to bend--
I will
drive.
