As I Am: art journal affirmations for anxiety & depression (3 mixed media projects)

Did you know art journaling can be a powerful tool in your mental health toolkit? Whether you're new to art/visual journaling or not, these three heartfelt projects will help you reconnect with your inner calm. I've been art journaling for my mental health for years now, and I'm excited to share these techniques with you. I believe creative expression--especially messy, colorful, intuitive exploration--can bring us back to peace, even if only for a few moments.

As I Am is a self-paced, downloadable art workbook with 33 full-color pages of photos and guidance, covering three colorful mixed media projects to soothe and support your soul. You’ll also receive three bonus sped-up videos (no narration).

Come create with me! We'll craft meaningful, real, perfectly imperfect art affirmations that meet us right in the middle of our mess.

I’m offering this class as PAY WHAT FEELS GOOD, starting at $10. *If you need financial assistance for less than $10, please contact me. Find more details and sign up here in my Ko-fi shop. The classroom is hosted here on Squarespace.

Your Soul Story: intuitive magazine collage

New to art journaling or ready to deepen your practice? You don't need endless time to create, tons of money for supplies, or even previous experience. Intuitive magazine collage is a powerful tool for connecting with your inner wisdom, honoring exactly how and where you are in this moment. Your Soul Story is a self-paced, downloadable art class, with all materials available immediately after purchase (including full-length, start-to-finish tutorial videos, with narration; a full-color, step-by-step workbook; & some yummy bonuses like an interview and art journal flip-throughs).

Come create with me! We'll get messy, honest, and discover how to shift from our heads to our hands and gut--tapping into our own intuition, under the noise of daily life. You'll be amazed what "secret messages" pop up as you tell YOUR soul story.

I’m offering this class as PAY WHAT FEELS GOOD, starting at $15. *If you need financial assistance for less than $15, please contact me. Find more details and sign up here in my Ko-fi shop. The classroom is hosted here on Squarespace, including your workbook and full-length videos.

I believe creative practice is essential for the wellbeing of our wild phoenix souls.

Splashing color, scribbling words, playing with pattern and texture, tearing and pasting yummy bits of collage . . . all of these (and more) are simple ways we can express ourselves, honoring the unique truth we carry within. Whether you consider yourself an artist or not, creative practice can meet you wherever you are, bearing witness to the aches and joys of daily life.

Creativity saves my sanity every day, helping me process and find peace within generalized anxiety, occasional depression, high sensitivity, life as new mama with an artist soul, and more. My art journals in particular provide me with safe space to spill whatever is within me, making meaning in the mess and honoring exactly where, how, and who I am.

I consider myself a creative encourager, inviting you to create along with me in messy, colorful, simple ways that meet you right where you are. Whether you’re new to creative practice or yearning to deepen your connection with creativity, I’m here to walk with you.

I’m delighted to guest teach online in collaborative art classes like Effy Wild’s Book of Days and Tiare Smith’s Gratitude Junk Journal.

Soul Medicine: Start Here

In 2019, I offered an ebook bonus for Effy Wild’s Book of Days art journal class. I spilled my soul about why I art journal, how my creative practice has evolved through the years, and especially how art journaling became essential for my emotional wellbeing after birthing my first (and only) child in 2017. My art journals got messier, more rumpled, more real. I mourned the seeming loss of what I’d been able to create before—but discovered a whole new, soul-deep way of spilling my truth on the pages.

I’m offering this ebook to you for free now, hoping these pages may inspire you to begin or deepen your own art journal practice. Donations are welcome here to honor my time and effort.
